CLBenchmark 1.1 now available for consumers

April 26, 2012

Free version and a public result database of CLBenchmark 1.1 Desktop Edition released by Kishonti Informatics

Kishonti Informatics launched the community version of CLBenchmark 1.1 Desktop Edition, the first professional OpenCL benchmark on the market. CLBenchmark provides a free and easy-to-use tool for consumers and media professionals to compare the processing power of different hardware architectures.

CLBenchmark is the first professional OpenCL benchmark for measuring the performance of different implementations of OpenCL 1.1, a royalty-free standard for heterogeneous parallel programming. It compares the strengths and weaknesses of different hardware architectures such as CPUs, GPUs and APUs.

Now available in a free community version and featuring a public result database, CLBenchmark provides an accessible testing utility for a wider audience for testing the underlying OpenCL implementation of different devices.

In order to enable the easy comparison of different hardware, the test results are listed in a transparent and public OpenCL performance database at www.clbenchmark.com.

To provide meaningful information about the OpenCL implementations, CLBenchmark 1.1 contains real-life applications (SPH Fluid Simulation, Raytrace, Optical Flow and Image Filters) and a suite of complementary synthetic tests (Programming Principles).

CLBenchmark 1.1 Desktop Edition supports any standard-compliant OpenCL 1.1 implementation and it is compatible with every major vendor’s solution.

Availability

The software is now available for community use and can be downloaded free of charge at www.clbenchmark.com. CLBenchmark is also accessible for licensing within the framework of Kishonti Informatics’ Developer Program, which is aimed at industry-leading technology companies for testing and optimizing their OpenCL implementations and thus bringing stable and efficient solutions to the market.
